Speaking of ‘Animal,’ the film garnered 19 nominations across various categories tonight, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, ‘Animal’ emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023. However, it faced criticism for its perceived portrayal of misogyny.
The movie featured Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. It captivated audiences with a post-credits scene hinting at a sequel titled ‘Animal Park’. There Ranbir might assume a dual role.
‘Animal’ delves into a tumultuous father-son relationship, with Ranbir portraying Rannvijay Singh seeking revenge after an assassination attempt on his father. The film crossed the Rs 800 crore mark at the box office.
Shifting focus to ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ directed by Karan Johar and featuring Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan, the film explores the love story of Rocky Randhawa and Rani Chatterjee. Despite their cultural differences and family objections, they decide to live with each other’s families for three months before tying the knot.
